Create a Custom App in Shopify
~3 minutes- Sign in to your Shopify admin (yourstore.myshopify.com/admin)
- Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels
- Click “Develop apps” in the top right
- If this is your first time, confirm “Allow custom app development”
- Click “Create an app”, give it a name (e.g. Boostolog) and create it
- Open “Configuration” → “Configure Admin API integration”
- Select these scopes: read_products, write_products
- Click “Save”, then “Install app”
- On the “API credentials” tab, copy the Client ID and the Client Secret
Connect to Boostolog
~1 minute- Go to Dashboard → “Account Connections”
- Open the form on the Shopify card
- Store URL: your Shopify store address (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com)
- Fill in the Client ID and Client Secret fields
- Click “Connect Store”
- The connection is verified and your store name appears on the card
Boostolog fetches the access token itself and refreshes it in the background — you never copy a token by hand.
Push Products to Etsy
- Go to Dashboard → “Shopify → Etsy”
- Your Shopify products are listed; narrow them down with search and the collection filter
- Select the products you want to send to Etsy
- Set the Etsy category and shipping profile under “Push Settings”
- If you have no shipping profile, listings are created as drafts
- Click “Push to Etsy”
- Each product is optimised by AI, then created as an Etsy listing
- Results appear in real time (succeeded/failed)

What happens to my credentials?
Your Client ID and Client Secret are stored on our server and used only to keep the Shopify access token fresh. You can disconnect at any time from the dashboard, and remove access entirely by deleting the custom app in your Shopify admin.
Is stock synced automatically?
No. Today we offer product push; the stock quantity is carried over at the moment of transfer only. Continuous stock synchronisation is on our roadmap.
What happens to products deleted in Shopify?
Deleting a product in Shopify does not automatically affect its Etsy listing. Etsy listings are managed manually.
Which Shopify plans does it work with?
All Shopify plans (Basic, Shopify, Advanced, Plus). Custom app development is available on every plan.
